British Overseas Territories at War since 3 September 1939
During the War, the United States agreed with its British allies to build a highly strategic military airfield in Ascension Island in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean.
Bermuda Islands : Saint David's Island, Morgan Island and Tucker's Islands was part of the Lend Leased to the United States where they installed Naval Air Stations from 1941 to 1945.

British Indian Ocean Territory : Diego garcia Island, site of a joint military facilities between UK and US with Naval and Airbase during the War
In 1942, a battalion en route to India was deployed to the Falklands as a garrison amid fears of a Japanese seizure of the archipelago
Tristan Da Cunha Island was used as a secret intelligence station to monitor German U-boats.
South Georgia Island : During the Second World War, the Royal Navy deployed an armed merchant vessel to patrol South Georgian and Antarctic waters against German raiders.
