Lioré et Olivier
Four-seater torpedo and bombardment derived from the Lioré and Olivier LeO H-257. First flight in April 1936. 59 units built for the French Naval Aeronautics and the Air Force.
These aircraft flew convoy escort and anti-submarine patrols in Sept 39 before being used as tactical bombers against land targets during the Blitzkrieg suffering heavy losses.Fifty-three remained on strength with Vichy forces in Aug 40,and these were used for secondary roles such as training until 1944.
